GRADUATION

CEREMONY

INFO

More detailed Graduation Ceremony information was recently mailed home. Please refer to that mailing for more specific informaiton.

Graduation is at 10a.m. on Bradley Field. It usually ends around 12 noon.

Seniors will be facing the goal post (Churchill Avenue side).  Both sides (Home & Away) of Bradley Field will be available for seating.

If you or your  guests cannot sit outside (it does get hot out there), the Performing Arts Center will live stream the graduation ceremony, where it is air-conditioned with comfortable seating.  You and your family are invited to sit inside if you choose (first come, first serve seating).

What to bring:

Bring your camera

Bring water

Wear sunscreen

Bring a fan

Bring a power bar if you haven't eaten before you arrive. There will be no concession stand for food or snacks.

Bring a towel, blanket or stadium seat  -  benches can get hot.

What not to bring:

Do not bring umbrellas - they hinder the views of others (unless you plan on standing behind EVERYONE ELSE)

Air horns and other noise makers are prohibited.

Balloons are NOT allowed inside the stadium area.  A special area outside Bradley Field will be set up for balloon bouquets.

Do not bring a bad attitude. Everyone is there to celebrate this great milestone, and we all want great seats with a great view!

Other TIPS:

  • Ask your son or daughter what side s/he will be on.  (There is generally a left and a right side with the isle in the middle).  For photo opps, it is helpful to know what side they are on.

  • Text your son or daughter once you've been seated so they know where you are - even if they can't see you, they can look in your direction for a better photo opp!

  • Please be respectful to the people around you.

  • After the ceremony, ALL STUDENTS AND FAMILIES will be directed to the lawn near the I-Wing. BE SURE to pre-plan a meeting spot for you and your senior!  If you do not, it can take up to 30 minutes to find your senior!  They all look the same in their caps and gowns!  It will save time and you won't miss out on photos with their friends and your family members.

  • Make a reservation now if you haven't already for a luncheon with your graduate (or have a celebration or even just a rest at home).
